Your sexuality and gender identity are part of who you are.
Your sexuality and sexual orientation is about who you're physically and emotionally attracted to. Everyone is different, and sometimes understanding your sexuality can be confusing.
Your gender describes how you might identify yourself e.g. as a girl, or a boy, or neither – or a variation. A transgender person self-identifies their gender as being different to the sex they were assigned at birth.
It's natural to be confused about your sexuality and gender identity or need time to work out who you are. Some people know who they’re attracted to and which gender they identify as, from an early age. For other people, it’s not so simple and can take a while to work out.
