What is the Inclusion Inquiry and how can you have your say? Watch this short video to find out: https://youtu.be/ZNw0m8cgPbM
Somerset County Council and NHS Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group are working in partnership to improve Somerset’s services for children and young people (aged 0-25) with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND).
They have launched an ‘Inclusion Inquiry’ in order to find out about educational inclusion within Somerset. The inquiry is now open and provides people with an opportunity to have their say by Friday 30 April 2021. What is the Inclusion Inquiry? This is not an audit or an evaluation but a conversation.
We want to hear from you about your experiences of education inclusion in Somerset. By education inclusion, we mean that children and young people with any additional needs or disabilities are able to access and participate in education without experiencing issues and barriers. We would like to hear from children, young people, parents, carers, families, professionals, community members and anyone who would like to contribute. We are interested in what has been a good experience for you, what could have been improved and what you would like to see happen in the future in school, in your community and if relevant, in any clubs or leisure activities. Your views will be used to help us understand what we do well and what we could do better.
How do you have your say?
